Canadian percussionist Zac Pulak will be in residence at the Southern Methodist University Meadows School of the Arts from February 11-18, 2018. While there Zac will be presenting a solo recital that will include a new work by SMU composition faculty member Kevin Hanlon as well as a guest lecture on arts entrepreneurship.
Hailing from Winipeg, Zac studied at the University of Ottawa and has worked with The National Arts Centre, Ottawa International Chamberfest, Banff Centre, and the Scotia Festival.
As an emerging artist he is the recipient of numerous awards including the City of Ottawa’s Youth In Culture Pilot Program (2016, 2017). He performs in his own chamber projects, KNICK KNACK NICK N’ ZAC, and the RPM EXperiment. Zac is the founder/curator of #NSFW Contemporary Cabaret and STICKATO percussion ensemble.
