Matthew Greenwood currently serves as Adjunct Instructor of Percussion at the University of South Alabama where he teaches applied lessons, assists with the USA Percussion Ensemble, USA Steel Band and World Music Ensemble, and teaches Introduction to Music for non-majors. Matt is also on staff with the Jaguar Marching Band as Assistant Director of the Jaguar Drumline, where he assists with arranging and instructing of the battery and front ensemble.
An active and diverse performer, Matt has given clinics and masterclasses throughout the Gulf Coast including the Alabama Chapter of PAS Day of Percussion, Alabama Music Education Association Conference, Southeast Percussion Festival, and the Treasure Coast Percussion Camp in Vero, Florida. He currently performs with the Mobile Symphony Orchestra, Mobile Opera, Gulf Coast Symphony Orchestra, Pensacola Symphony Orchestra and Pensacola Opera. Prior engagements include the Northwest Florida Symphony Orchestra and Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra.
Performances include the 2010 Alabama Music Education Association Conference as a guest soloist, the 2007 Percussive Arts Society International Convention with the Florida State University Percussion Ensemble, the World Association for Symphonic Bands and Ensembles in Killarney, Ireland with the University of Louisville Wind Ensemble and the University of Louisville School of Music Carnegie Hall Tour.
