Levi currently holds a percussion section position with the Fayetteville Symphony Orchestra. He holds a Master of Music Degree in Percussion Performance from the University of South Carolina as well as a Music Education Degree from Kennesaw State University (Magna Cum Laude). Equally at home performing in a symphony orchestra, playing drum set in a jazz combo, playing congas in a salsa band, or anything in between, his versatility has allowed him to perform in numerous locations throughout the world including a three-concert tour of Beijing and Xi’an China as well as performing on stage with the classic rock band Kansas at the Cobb Energy Center in Atlanta, Georgia.
Levi has performed/participated in master classes with Mathew Duvall, Neil Grover, Tom Freer, Jim Atwood, Carol Stumpf, William James and, Mark Yancich. In 2015 Levi was chosen as the winner of the University of South Carolina’s Concerto and Aria Competition and performed Michael Daugherty’s work Raise the Roof for Timpani and Orchestra.
