In his quest for the perfect triangle, Boston based percussionist Andre Sonner stopped by yesterday to check out some of our Bronze Pro Hammered Triangles. Apparently, Andre heard one being played by a colleague in the Sarasota Opera and he fell in love with the sound. Good thing he lives just up the turnpike from Grover Pro HQs!
“From the first time I experienced one of Neil’s triangles I knew it was an absolute must have. The shimmer and quality of sound across the dynamic range makes this one of the most versatile triangles available. A great purchase and addition to my strategically chosen sound arsenal!”, Andre Sonner.
Andre is a Percussionist with the Sarasota Opera Orchestra, Co-Principal Percussionist of the Great Lakes Chamber Orchestra, Percussion Instructor for the Boston College Bands Program, and serves as Treasurer of the Massachusetts Chapter of the Percussive Arts Society. Recent engagements include performances with the Louisiana Philharmonic, Jacksonville, Detroit, Boston Pro Arte, Springfield, New Bedford, and Traverse Symphony Orchestras. He has been invited as a fellowship recipient to the Tanglewood Music Center, Aspen, and Chautauqua Music Festivals; also serving on the faculty of Stonehill College, and Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp.
If anyone can identify what Andre is holding in his left hand – let us know. We’re stumped…
