Pedro Fernandez
Pedro Fernandez holds positions with the Indianapolis and Chautauqua Symphony Orchestras. Additionally, he has held similar titles with the Cincinnati Symphony and the Houston Ballet Orchestra. Pedro has performed with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Detroit, Houston, Columbus, Hawaii, and Palm Beach symphonies, Louisville Orchestra, and Florida Grand Opera among others; and internationally with the National Symphonies of Costa Rica and Panama.
In chamber settings, Pedro has performed in the Perspective Series of the Texas Music Festival, Resident Series of the Chautauqua Institution, with the Grammy-nominated choir Seraphic Fire, and in collaborations with Svet Stoyanov, Casey Cangelosi, and PULSUS percussion group. As a soloist, Pedro has played recitals for National Broadcast in Panama, for the Society of Electro-Acoustic Music, and concerti with the National Orchestra of Panama, as well as engaging in collaborations with different composers. Equally comfortable in more popular settings, Pedro performs regularly with the Indianapolis based group Direct Contact Latin Jazz.
Pedro is on faculty at the Lone Star College – Montgomery, and the Chautauqua Music Festival. Additionally he has appeared as a clinician for the Percussive Arts Society International Convention, the Alfredo de Saint-Malo Festival in Panama City Panama, and the Conservatorio del Estado de Mexico in Toluca.
