Lise Duarte Nuñez

Lise Duarte Nuñez is a French-Argentine orchestral percussionist whose career combines orchestral performance, institutional teaching, and a commitment to making orchestral percussion more visible and inspiring for a new generation of musicians worldwide.
Born in Buenos Aires, she began her musical training at the Conservatorio Alberto Ginastera de Morón. At just 15 years old, she won her first national competition — the Fondo Nacional de las Artes — earning a scholarship for advanced percussion studies in Córdoba, Argentina. She continued her training at the Universidad Nacional de Lanús before earning a Superior Diploma in Percussion at the Conservatorio Alberto Ginastera.
Drawn to France to deepen her practice, she graduated from the Pôle Supérieur de Paris Boulogne-Billancourt with both a Diplôme National Supérieur Professionnel de Musicien and a Diplôme d’État de Professeur de Musique, while also completing a degree in Musicology at Sorbonne Université. Her studies led her to the class of Éric Sammut at the CRR de Paris, where she was awarded the Prix de Marimba, and to the CRR de Cergy-Pontoise, where she earned a gold medal in Chamber Music and Percussion. She is a two-time laureate of the Percussive Arts Society Italy Competition, recognized in both 2024 and 2025 in the Snare Drum category.
As an orchestral musician, she has performed with the Orchestre Symphonique Divertimento, Orchestre EDF, New International Philharmonia Orchestra, and the Jeune Orchestre Européen Hector Berlioz – Isère (JOEHB). She has also served as percussion faculty at the Académie des Petites Mains Symphoniques and has given masterclasses in both Argentina and France. Since 2022, she holds a tenured position as Percussion Professor at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Cergy-Pontoise.
Her work focuses particularly on orchestral performance, educational percussion content, and the artistic promotion of orchestral accessory instruments — a field where she brings both rare specialization and deep artistic commitment.
Her engagement with music extends beyond the concert hall. Through partnerships with the Hôpital de Pontoise and the therapeutic center Les P’tits Loups, she teaches percussion to children with autism spectrum disorders, developmental challenges, and other cognitive or behavioral difficulties — using rhythm, listening, and musical interaction as tools for communication, expression, and social connection.
Under the handle @lisepercussion, she has developed a steadily growing international audience through orchestral and educational percussion content. Her videos have accumulated over 2.7 million views across Instagram and Facebook, with strong reach across the United States, Brazil, Japan, Italy, and Mexico. Her orchestral tambourine performances and tutorials regularly generate thousands of saves from percussionists, students, and musicians worldwide.
Passionate about orchestral color, rhythmic refinement, and sound production, Lise Duarte Nuñez is dedicated to elevating the artistic visibility of orchestral accessory percussion — through performance, pedagogy, and digital media.
