Drummer, singer and session player Gary Olds has worked with an inexhaustible A list icons of American music from the 1950s-1980s that include Ray Charles, Leslie Gore, David Cassidy, Freda Payne, Dino/New Kids On The Block, The Village People, Little Anthony and the Imperials, the list goes on.
A seasoned veteran of a veritable who’s who in the entertainment world.
From Las Vegas where he was the house drummer at the Bally’s and MGM hotels. As a freelance and “in residence he has backed latin, jazz, broadway, country and pop artists. Working with world class conductors, among them Vince Falcone on the Saturday Night Live reunion tour with Joe Piscopo and cast, and Jack French with Eddie Arnold. In addition, legendary comedians from Don Rickles to Rich Little with conductor Chuck Hoover. Residence Drummer for American Superstars (LV, Reno, and Laughlin) and many other production shows includingEnter the Night at the famed
Stardust Hotel, and many others as well.
His voice and acting featured on the strip in shows such as Buck Wild, Hair, Enter the Night, Tony n’ Tina’s wedding and the Mob Attraction at the Tropicana where he appeared on the billboards of the famed strip. Broadway pit shows include 110 degrees In the Shade, Men are from Mars Woman are from Venus, and more.
Touring the world and leaving his creative signature on David Cassidy’ Concert in Glasgow DVD 2002. The Platters with Sonny Turner in Japan 2011. Numerous national television Appearances CBS (Arsenio Hall, Pat Sajak etc, NBC (Today,more) ABC (GMA) as well as numerous local (Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Chicago, New York television appearances. Currently working in LA and LV in many Studio and Live performances.
