Yes, that's right, the famed Original Mark Tree® is once again available. Both the SM-1 (hollow brass tubes) and the SM-7 (solid aluminum bars) are now shipping to select retailers!
The Spectrasound Mark Tree bar chime is the original bar chime. Invented in the early 70's by LA studio percussionist Mark Stevens, (hence the name "Mark" Tree), these bar chimes are THE model which every other bar chime copies and attempts to imitate!
Every Spectrasound™ Mark Tree® features a beautifully finished beech header bar, nodally drilled bar holes, and high polish aluminum or brass bars. Spectrasound is the ONLY COMPANY to use highly durable Kevlar bar ties which maximize bar swing to allow for uninhibited resonance. (Note: Kevlar is the material used in bullet proof vests!) In addition, each Mark Tree® comes pre-drilled to accept our easy motion damper bar. Using a unique barrel nut attachment system, you can attach or remove your damper within 30 seconds! Each damper comes with two large chrome tension adjustment knobs which facilitates custom tensioning of the damper bar.
